I journeyed to the deep desert to seek a vision. I drew a circle in the sand–a sacred space defined–and sat therein with quiet alertness and a deep respect for the unknown.

Although I sat for one day, and then yet another, I did not receive a Vision, nor did any voice speak my name in the barren wind. I was not discontented, for this is often the way of things.

One more night I spent under the sharp stars and the quiet clouds and the crystal-dry air.
I expected nothing, but I was ready for anything.
I had a dream.
